START (GR TQ612993) at paint mark in Mountnessing Road by field entrance on left, approximately 700 yards north of Swallows Cross (Swallows Cross is on road between Mountnessing and Blackmore). Proceed northwards and straight over junction with Ingatestone Road (Jessops Crossroads) (M) (WITH GREAT CARE). Continue, past Blackmore pond and Highwood Woods to turn at Loves Green by lane to Cooksmill Green and Roxwell (opposite St. Paul's Church, Highwood) (M). Turn LEFT into lane and immediately turn round green triangle of lane, then turn RIGHT towards Blackmore. Retrace via Highwood Woods, Blackmore and Jessops Crossroads (GREAT CARE) where bear LEFT keeping on Ingatestone Road. Keep straight on, past road junction on left, into Green Street and continue approximately 600 yards to FINISH (GR TL622005) opposite field entrance on right. After finishing carry straight on, past Trueloves, to Roman Road (B1002) where turn right to return to Mountnessing Village Hall.
